buying a s3

went to go and look at a s3 today and when the car was started up their was a very pale blue smoke conimg out of the back but the car hadent really been driven for the last 4-5 weeks but was running v low on fuel the car has only done 40k and they doesnt seem to be any unsuall noises or any lack of power any ideas what it could be should i avoid buying

Is it the old S3 (8L chassis) and not the new one?

40k seems high for a new one, if its the old one you are in the wrong forum but it sounds as if the turbo is knackered anyway.
