SQ5 Built in sim vs external

Ok, so I can’t figure out how to get the WiFi hotspot working. I know that the built in card is used for all the Audi connect stuff and google maps and when I put my own sim in it diverts all the data usage to this, however I have no clue how to get WiFi hotspot working? I select the WiFi and pair on phone but it will not connect to anything?

I’m new to the MMI scene so can anyone help?

Why are you putting your own SIM in?
Have you created an Audi Connect Account yet, I am sure this is a requirement.

Yes that all works fine but I want the WiFi hotspot and that’s not free with the Audi connect system, it’s a bolt on extra
