BUILD THREAD - MY11 Audi A3 Black Edition | Ibis White

Hi all,

Been on here a while now and been meaning to write my own build thread (not that I've done much building) but never got around to it as I've never had any photographs of my current car.

Currently driving my second Audi as I wasn't overly happy with the first spec. I chose, at the time it's all I could afford so couldn't really be helped. After much debate, I decided to visit my local Audi dealer and get myself a price on my current car and get a part ex. price on the old that didn't really put a smile on my face, didn't stop me from the purchase though as once I seen the spec. I was over the moon. I then placed the order and after a long 5 month wait I collected my car on 28th October 2010.

Specification

MY11 Audi A3 Black Edition 1.8T
Ibis white
Black sprint cloth/leather upholstery with embossed S line logo
Technology package with Audi Music Interface (AMI)
Interior light package
Heated front seats
Deletion of model and engine capacity
Folding mirrors
Tyre pressure loss indicator

.... Along with the Black Edition bits 'n' bobs.

Mods so far

Aluminium pedals
S3 mats with silver piping

Anyway, following a photo shoot on Saturday with Ash I now have a few great photographs to show off:

Current ideas

Carbon skinning to B pillars and front bumper lip (not entirely sure what the correct word is)
White wrapping to interior trim (Piano black inlays are too difficult to keep new)
S3 rear bumper
S3 skirts
Remove all S line badges and maybe replace with OEM Supercharged badges
Milltek exhaust
19'' MTM Bimoto refurbished in satin black

Unfortunately I'm still paying off the car which should be finished October next year (hopefully sooner), it's at that point when I'll get a chance to make the necessary changes I want to make in order for me to be driving my perfect car.

as i said before mate they are aweome shots buddy i personaly love the steering wheel shot thats just full of win win credit to james photo skills there i was over the moon with my pics from ny day with him for photo he is the man got to be fair

Thanks for the kind words, like you said there's not much required just a few tweaks, nothing more.

As for the wheels, looking to get (when/if cash is available) some 19'' MTM Bimoto refurbished in satin black

I just lowered mine on H&R springs on S line suspension and a lotta people on here had said that the H&R's would actually make the ride better and smoother than the S line springs.. I thought "surely this won't be true - lower and stiffer will make the ride worse" but I've been proved wrong.. The ride now is noticeably better even though it's lower..! I just can't get my head round how the S line springs can be so crashy...

I am though however getting my camera which should arrive tomorrow along with Adobe Lightroom, I am having my car detailed by Ti22 from Newport any my car will finally be paid off TOMORROW *cheesy grin* I can then hopefully make a few changes
