I have a A4 B8 2008 2.7 Tdi 8 Speed auto, car developed a vibration on motorway then quickly lost all drive. When gears selected nothing happens apart from a slight noise from gearbox. When car is pushed there is a awful expensive sounding grating from gearbox and it locks up sometimes. Car starts and runs fine. Gearbox code is KSS. I have been told that a shaft at front of box may have sheared. Can anyone please help as Audi say £5400+Vat for box. I have had various quotes fir box to be recon, with some saying it will deffo need a new ECU whilst other people say ECU should be fine
