Broken car

Hi, all. A mate of mine has emailed me with a problem with his Focus. And I wondered of you have any ideas?


"Last night my and other went to pick up her brother and when he got in the back made a loud bump like the suspension, driving for little while, the power seems to not work properly and now everytime we pull away or drive there seems to be hardly any power, the accelerator work but it feels like the car is being held back or dragging,

Don’t suppose you know what it might be? It might be that the brake pad is locked on the disc or something but then the car would not go, it seems to be ok once we get going though"

As you can seen not the best English but gets the point across.

brake shoes stuck onto the drum at the back?, seezed wheel bearing? id jack up the car, one corner at a time then spin the wheel with ur hand.
