the car is a 2001 Y plate) A4 2.0 multitronic saloon.
if we pour warm water on the screen to de-ice it, the water runs into the brake servo/reservoir area, then when you drive the car the brakes fail altogether (until you let them dry out)
took it into the vag specialist who dried it out, but then the next time the car got all snowed up we had to pour water on (and the snow melting will have contributed to the problem) the same thing happened.
the specialist guy said its a common fault on a4's and passatts. is there anything can be done about this? this is another in a long string of major design flaws we have experienced on this car, none of which i've experienced on other "lower badge" cars!!!
