I've just upgraded my brakes from stock 1.8T to A4 DTM 2.0TQ.
The diameter is slightly larger but the thickness is more (new 320X30MM 5/112; PR-1LA, old 312X25 5/112)

Also the brake pad surface is 30% more.
The job is very easy and no special tools are needed. The only "catch" is the bleeding of the system, where two man are needed and o bottle of DOT4 fluid.

I used Ferodo DS2500 that have no warning cable so I had to cut old cables and connect them together in order to avoid brake pad warning in inst, cluster.

The improvement is HUGE, especially in high speeds and in mountain roads.
Enjoy

Just an update.
The brakes I had installed were used so the thickness of used brake pads allowed the wheels to fit.
After renewing the brake pads the wheels wouldn't fit so I had to use a set of 10mm wheel spacers.

Get a set of S4 carriers and run 345mm disc the calipers are the same :)
