I have a brake pressure bleeder, can I bleed brakes with that or do I need vcds too?

I bled mine OK with my pressure bleeder without using vcds.
Thanks.... Was it straight forward?
Never used a pressure bleeder before, just seen a video on YouTube, is it rear left, rear right, front left, front right.... Finishing off at the master cylinder?
Always heard, start furthest from master cylinder.
How much fluid did you use?

Yes, very straight forward. Only go to about 20psi. Takes a wee while as its slow and steady.
I did rear left etc as always but think I read recently you start at the front on these but you would need to check. Starting at the rear was fine on mine. I used 3 x Pagid 500ml bottles but you would prob get away with a litre if you go easy.

Remove all the old fluid from the mc reservoir prior to bleeding then fill with new is a handy tip I can offer. Connect your pressure blender dry to test you have no air leaks, fill with fluid then get bleeding. You may require a swan neck spanner for the rear calipers as my bleed nips were deep in the caliper with limited access so I had to dig out my set of swan neck spanners. On my S3 all the bleed nipples f+b at 11mm.

That's really good advice and really appreciated.
I've read somewhere that all 4 wheels need to be off the ground..... Can I lift the front wheels off the ground, do them, then when ready do the rear wheels, lower front on the ground and raise the rear or do all 4 need be off the ground at the same time?

Pretty straightforward with a pressure bleeder.

Just make sure you have plenty of new fluid in it though as you can force air back in to the system if it can’t pick up the fresh fluid because the level is low.
