Brake fluid change

My car is just approaching 19k miles - am I right in thinking the brake fluid needs to be changed at some point soon?

audi recomend the brake fluid is changed every 2 years. there is no recomended mielage interval.

i had my last car nearly 9 years and never changed the brake fluid. only time new got add3ed was when i changed the rear calipers and overhauled the front pistons.

I think they can test the fluid to see if it needs doing ???

It's every 2 years. Or if you boil the brake fluid by giving it some and braking hard, you best get it done sooner.

I did mine after 19months as the brakes had gone a tad spongy.

Ok, thanks for the replies guys. Is it the haldex oil that needs changing at 20k miles then?
