Okay so I bought a cat S used a3 COD sport 1.4 TFSI 66plate (2017 facelift model) for 7k, pretty good bargain, it drives and runs really well. However I have some interior issues.

    • There is a audi sd card in the MMI box but the satnav says something about not being able to authenticate
      • I don’t really use the satnav as I use CarPlay, but is there anyway to get this fixed, I heard you have to recode it with audi which quoted around £500
    • My biggest issue is that my auto wipers do not work at all. When I have my wipers set on auto they don’t move in the rain, how can this be fixed? The sensor at the top of the windscreen looks fine.
    • My vents are also very loose, as in not loose in the dashboard but the actual vent part on the inside (swively bit) moves very freely compared to my very left vent.
      • Also when I twist the silver vent rings on the outside, my 3 right vents do not go to the 3 o clock position and click only my passenger vent does this. can anyone tell me a fix for them? As when I put the vents in a position they just flop down when I drive.
      • Video:
    • can I code the rear sensor indicator image via Carista?
    • Final issue is that my glovebox light doesn’t work, when I open my glovebox, the light doesn’t come on, the glovebox it self opens up fine and glides down instead of falling, so it’s not the hinge, I’ve replaced the bulb but still the glovebox light doesn’t come on.

SD nav - lots on here about that. Probably a dealer install £500 issue as you’ve been quoted.
Wipers - are you sure the intermittant setting on the top of the control arm is not on the left, which makes the wiping very intermittant.

Has the car had an accident which meant the dashboard etc has been out and messed about with?

Not sure if dashboard was messed with, but it was in an accident, my biggest gripe are the vents and auto wipers. The satnav I can live with

could be that in the accident the air bags deployed, might also of had the dash removed if the header tank silica bag burst, and a new heater matrix fitted. its guess work as to why it may of been removed. Are the auto wipers turned on in the cars coding? Im sure you can check with Carista etc.

There’s no way for me to check auto wipers in Carista, they should be enabled as there’s a physical stalk that says auto and the sensor at the top.

I’ve tried to, they seem much harder, do you know if you can put the red rings on the face lift vents?

Some early FL cars were fitted with the PFL vents, presumably to use them up. PFL vents are a direct swap and better.
