Can't wait to pick her up Monday. Carrera 2 3.6, manual with fsh and low mileage. Car is in mint condition. Still got the Audi, this will be my weekend warrior! Possibly looking to do a few track days. Been my dream to own a 911 since I was a kid! Count myself very lucky as I have landed a job where I can afford it.

We all need a 911 at some point in our lives, mine was a 2.7 a long time ago and it wouldn't see where my current S4 had gone. Still could be tempted to a more recent 911, or Cayman, or --. No keep the S4 and get on with restoring my Elan?
Call it a mid life crisis but I intend keeping it for a good few years. Ideally wanted a 993 but they are really expensive now! Think the 996 is as cheap as they are going to get so hopefully I won't loose money on it!
Do not want to be a black cloud,I have had loads of porkers. Still have some now, the 996 and 997 suffer with bore score issues. Get it inspected with a bore cam. Even then it can be perfect this week and screwed the following week.
Checked out issues and done my research. Car has been purchased from a Porsche specialist and has just had new Ims bearing, RMS seals, clutch, new disks and pads and coil packs with warranty so hopefully should be ok for a while. Heard more about bore scoring in the 997 than the 996 though?
This is why I dabble on BOTB. Was a cats whisker off a 911 Black Edition. The M3 went to Aberdeen instead. Se la vie. Lovely car Ian.
