Bought the keys but still can't get the HU out!!, Aaaaarrrggghhh

As above folks, I bought the keys but the HU still seems stuck solid, is there something I'm not doing properly?

I've come close to taking a hammer and screwdriver to it twice today!

Any advice would REALLY be appreciated, thanks.

The problem i had was i was pushing the keys in too far.
Push them in slowly till they click they don't go in as far as you think.

Do I just put the keys in till they click then pull it out with my fingers in the tape deck?

Sorry for the stupid questions but I'm at a complete loss, I've been outwitted by a CD player

I just put them in till they clicked then gently pulled on the keys to get mine out but it took a few goes.
