BOSE speakers and aftermarket amp - anyone done it??

Has anyone used a non-Bose amp to amp their BOSE speakers and if so how did it sound?

How much ability do the B5 rear deck BOSE subs have if powered by a better amp an low pass filtered?

You will need an amp stable in 2ohms but if you're prepared to spend money then i would spend the money on a good set of components and ditch the Bose system altogether ! If you need any Bose bits then let me know as i am breaking a b5 saloon with Bose fitted...
