Bose sound system popping?

At a low volume my bose sound system sounds really good. Bass +3 treble +2 up till about 12-13 volume (depending on song obviously) but as soon as I go one higher, so to 14 volume. The bass is really quiet and is r placed with a pop. Any ideas? Cheers

Most likely damaged voice coils in the drivers in the sub, if not that then dodgy transistors / dry joint in the amp.

Might have to strip out boot plastics and have a poke around sounds like it's going to be a pain
