My bose amp is playing up, keeps cutting out, sometime all the speakers cut off, then just one side. I have done some searching and it appears that the soldering in the amp can malfunction, causing these symptoms.
So, I've searched for a new/second hand amp for the a4 b6 but can't find one for a decent price. Which is when I stumbled on one from the a8. Apparently these are better anyway because they have 200w compared with 80w from the a4 one.
These are also supposed to be a straight swap in a b5. I have seen some articles stating that the b5 amp fits in a b6, so therefore the a8 amp should fit the b6? By the way it's a saloon.
Part number for the a8 amp is 4dO 035 225c. I've been offered it for £20 so not the end of the world if it doesn't work but would be nice if someone could confirm.
