Boot Space 1.8 TFSI vs Quattro?

i just ordered the Sb 1.8 tfsi quattro and was messing around on the website and noticed that the boot space for the quattro is about 40 litres smaller than the FWD , was wondering if anybody knew where those 40 litres went? where do they cut em off from?

The rear diff means you can't lower the boot floor to the lower position in the quattros

i was afraid someone would say that ! kind f sucks as it give a bit more space but you can't have everything. thx for the fast answer
