Hello - the boot handle/plinth that sits above the rear number plate and houses the boot lock and plate lights: is it made of steel or aluminium? I'm assuming aluminium as I have a bit of white bubbling corrosion.

Does anyone have the right name and part number please? Or is it a simple treat corrosion and repair?

Thanks

it's neither

it's plastic LOL

I reckonyou'd have a good chance of finding someone who is breaking a car with one. maybe can expand your search to the A3's as well but you would just need to switch over the soft touch boot opening handles as IDK if the A3 would have those or manual handles... "grip molding" apparently LOL
