    Hi Bobby,
I was hoping you could tell me the correct model of eibach springs for my car.
    2009 a4 3.0tdi s line.
Ive had H&R springs for a year and they are just too low (im getting a lot of rubbing after installing fresh tyres last week). -steeper sidewall..
I have found this set and think they are the correct ones.
Is this the model you used? your height looks pretty good.

    Thanks

100% your rear springs ending 01HA are for a saloon .

03HA are the correct Eibach Pro for your Avant .

    January 2018 505hp / 980nm

Well guys managed to hit my target of 500hp
So what’s changed? As you know my s200v has been put up for sale to make way for unique turbo.
EFR7670 with S300v housing :) its a watercooled roller bearing turbo with really nice wheels -
    CW:76/57
TW: 70/61, gamma-Ti alloy, lower density (and thus inertia) than conventional Inconel alloys

I've been driving for approx a month tuning it and trying to get it right for a power run. Its been task to balance

spool Vs surge - for example more spool is possible but then get surge so the short term workaround is to run less

boost. Long term would be to leak off some air via ECU controlled valve.
So yes it does have lag but it still have same torque as a stock 3.0tdi @ 2.2k in its current form.

    Dyno
We turned up on a BMW day ;)

    Smoke test Video:

    captured by Jay

The turbo is really a monster and still has more scope, but I'm out of fuel. I guess with larger injectors 550hp would be on the cards.

    EGT's - 900deg
    Stock engine (apart from valvesprings)
    Stock exhaust apart from downpipe
    Stock gearbox
    No smoke

    Cheers
    Bobby

Mr Audi - you really put some effort in :)
Bi turbo - yes they are lovely cars and the low down torque is always nice. In fact from all the turbos I've had I would say the best street turbo was the 2260 hybrid for wider power band on a 3.0tdi
However, not everyone can afford one and there are more single turbo 3.0 TDI's on the road so it made sense to push the boundaries on this platform.

I'm no diesel god but I have learnt a lot from own project cars over the years which means I know some facts rather than just following what people say.

You are correct I do not believe you have 450hp hence why I asked number of times if you have been to a dyno other than the tuners one.
Or at least post some 100 to 200km times with vcds.

The fact is bi turbo engine even with 2.2k rail pressure run 900deg (this is max safe limit before fuel is taken out by the ECU to save itself) which results in around 420hp / 900nm.

Next time I get one in I'll grab the logs and post them.

Final point you mentioned in one post you can get 450hp in a bi turbo with dpf - where is the evidence? I would love to see that.

But maybe open another thread and we can continue on that rather than getting side tracked with my build thread.

    Cheers
    Bobby

    Likewise mate :)
Chassis is alittle nervious now - each gear change brings a huge rush of power and in the wet...well lets just say traction stays on all the time.

Top job Bobby, Pity you didn't crack the 1000Nm as well as 500bhp but I am sure you will get there once you sort the surge issues.
I presume the compressor housing you are using already has a ported shroud which will help to stop surge.
I see you have the speed sensor connected has that been useful in tuning, I suppose it gives you an idea of where you are on the compressor map and how much you have left in the turbo.
Looking at the compressor map for that wheel seems to be capable of around 60Lb/min plus at around 2.5 bar of boost. I could see you running more than that as well as the wheel seems good for 3 bar, Not surprised you changed the valve springs.

I don't want to fill your valuable thread with BITDi stuff and it is great to see so much ingenuity be applied to the single turbo units congratulations. Its of tremendous value to a lot of people and really fun to read about. It would be good to one day see you take on a BITDI as a project car. I don't know if that will happen but i know at the moment with my knowledge and from the knowledge out there ( i have asked and had the conversations but none off tuners are working on anything ) no one has taken the cars past STG3. If its possible to go to the figures you have on your car at the moment a BITDI Hybrid would be very interesting indeed. See multiple SQ5 and BITDI tunes on this thread DPF removed and DPF intact https://www.facebook.com/JDEngineer...xOqPdH3gjZ7Zg_YfuJH669QngzqLdMeCTI73ROikHVD1s

Also you ll find a few 1000 nm plus A8 4.tdi !! takes a while to find them you have to scroll scroll scroll

    Later . . .. . . till the next time :sign imnew:

Thanks Karl - yes housing has anti surge, but the unit pushes a lot of air so I can only think of bleed the air out to prevent surge - maybe like a egr valve.
Speed sensor is working but I don't believe the readings voltage output is too low - I need to test it.

    Thanks

    Thanks
    You next :)

@bobby singh it’s stunning numbers mate . You need to come up with a plan for The CVT box on my diesel. The Petrol is now returned to the dealer I bought from as it had too many issues. I will be waiting for a text / message from you buddy.

The output of the speed sensor is a frequency output not voltage.
    http://www.turbos.borgwarner.com/files/pdf/efr_turbo_technical_brief.pdf
    Page 67.
I have looked into the EFR turbo's as a possible choice if I go to a big turbo on the TT. I thought the 7670 had a BOV on the compressor cover that is used to recirculate air into the intake. some kind of Arduino project taking engine RPM, boost and MAF signals to limit the boost in higher gears when the turbo is spooling. Try and keep on the right side of the surge line.

Sure I have freq to voltage convertor which is used as 0 to 5v input into the ECU so I can log it ;)
Yes BOV it did have but I blocked this off - EGR would offer much more nicer control but would be a pita to map.

****** hell bobby singh thats ridiculous power from a single turbo 3 litre TDI, well done, is there any chance you can map my 245bhp A7

I have a DTUK tuning box on @ the mo and was happy @ around 280bhp but i recon you could map mine to 300bhp easy.

It must feel like a monster on the road @ 500bhp is it not trying to pull to one side when you floor it?
