Bluetooth disconnecting!

I drive a 2016 1.6 tdi A1 which I LOVE.
The only issue I’m finding is the Bluetooth - very temperamental and tends to disconnect after making or receiving a phone call. A lot of the time it take quite a few tries to reconnect which proves difficult whilst driving. Does anyone have any experience with this or know a fix?

Yes, I also had this problem with my 16plate 1.4 sport A1

It came with the fault from new but was only fixed 2018 when the dealer finally replicated it as it was intermittent it turns out it needed a software update to fix, I have to hadn’t any problems since - mine was still under warranty when they fixed it.

I have a 2015 Model 1.4TFSI Sport and mines been rock solid on my phone running Android 8.1, maybe mine had the software update somewhere along the line previous? I'd be interested to know what Phone and Bluetooth version ?
