Black smoke under hard acceleration

I have the pd140 2.0tdi engine and when I accelerate hard I can sometimes see black smoke coming from the exhaust.

It's never a lot of smoke and never does it when starting, idling or at low rpm, only when I plant my foot.

Is it a problem or not? Thanks

Edit: Also there's also a hot metal smell, I have no idea what that could be but my friend suggested it's just my turbo getting warm, and to be honest it smells good in my opinion

its a diesel mate, mine dose it every now and then, it will poot out a little black soot from time to time, its normally just soot deposits blowing out when you floor it, unless its bellowing out the back i wouldn't worry, as for the hot metal smell that's probably the cat getting hot mate ?

Yeah, After a while it hardly blew out any smoke at all, or at least i couldn't see it in the mirrors thanks for clearing that up.

Yeah probably, doesn't seem like an issue.
