Bkd coolant loss

Hi guys just wondering if anyone had same issue or know any reasons that are common.

Had the car about 6months coolant never moved off full. Checked random the other day and had dropped from full to near min mark. Topped up and done a good 200 mile trip and checked but still on full. Checked random again tonight and back near min . When topped up last time noticed some wet at bottom of tank but couldnt replicate it again to find a leak

Most likely the water pump is leaking.
My A3 seemed fine but had occasions where the coolant seemed fine and then some where it drank a lot. Couldn't see any signs until I changed the timing belt, then the mechanic showed me how around the area was pretty much pink stained due to a leaking water pump!

Changed and now it's all good.

Thanks mate il have to look into that the water pump has been changed only 15k ago too
