Bixenon bulb type???

Hi all

Sorry if this has been asked before, but the passenger side dipped beam bulb has gone out of my A3, it’s a 56 plate (2007 build) 2.0tdi Quattro

I’m led to believe I had bi xenons as the xenon does both dip and main?? It has a separate bulb for drls and a separate bulb for sidelight

However I seem to have some conflict as to what bulb it is? Some say d3s some say d1s?
I was just going to remove the bulb to see before I order the replacements, but it looks a pig of a job, so I’m hoping someone on here can help pinpoint me to which bulb in question it is


Also if anyone has any tips on changing said bulbs that would be gratefully apriciated

I’ve enclosed a pic of the headlight as a guide

Best advice about your bulb would come from the lights man @t8ups or retro man @Ash187 just pm either 1 off them and they should be able to advise you and t8ups will be able to supply

They are D1S on the 2007 Bi Xenon headlights.
