Bird crap damage

Bird crap has made a large-ish 'matt' patch on my wing (black car).
No 'raised' damage to the lacquer, just a matt patch in the shape of the crap.
I tried using the following, which was all I had in the garage, with some success.

1/ Turtle wax scratch and swirl remover
2/ Meguires Crystal polish
3/ Collinite wax

A 'passer-by' wouldn't see the matt patch now, but I still see it, in parts.
Any suggestions as to a good product???
For future use, if nothing else.

i use poorboys srr1 polish to remove them on mine followed by some wax.

I'd guess any cutting polish will do the trick. Just dont use meguiars scratchX on them.

So do you get regular 'matt' patches as well?
I suppose the turtle wax scratch and swirl is a cutting polish.
It took me ****** ages with that though, I ran out of daylight!

Unfortunately yes! I'm pretty sure just a bird thinking about having a crap causes my paint to mark! The poorboys stuff doesn't take too muh effort to remove them though but you do need to keep on top of it!

I've ordered some from Motorgeek(?), along with wheel sealant.

The birdcrap can't have been there for much more than an hour!
I think I'll buy a car cover.

Count yourself lucky I've just noticed (just had the car cleaned!) some fecker has reversed into my rear bumber and scratched the poxy thing... miffed to say the least!

The stuff you recommended arrived this morning (pretty impressive service from Motorgeek), along with some free foam applicator pads, which was jolly nice of them!
Here's hoping I can get the bird crap marks off completely.
I was going to bite the bullet and get Polished Bliss to give it 'the works'.
But they have an 8 month waiting list!
I might still go for that, but it doesn't solve my immediate problem.

Had mine into PB again earlier in the week for it's 6 monthly 'spruce up'.

My Mini has a black roof that gets splattered from time to time. Since PB put a good sealant / wax layer on it, all it needs is distilled water in a spray bottle ( in my boot ) to blast it off as soon as i see it.

So far no problems at all.

If the SSR1 doesn't fully rectify it (and it is a pretty mild choice for Audi paint) then pop out and see us; Menzerna Intensive Polish is a better bet by hand when applied using the white side of a German Pad, as per the polishing guide sticky at the top of the section. However, if you pop out we can take some paint readings for you and tell you for sure about the best way to go; you should be able to do it yourself with a little luck.

Yep, as long as you have a slick protective coating on paint then a quick squirt with plain old water will fully remove bird craps - I also keep a bottle in the car for just this type of thing.
