Sorry for my lack of info following the pick up last Friday... I've been too busy having fun in it!

Pick up went well, there were a few marks UNDER the GaurdX - which was a little strange but apparently easily sorted, and a small pull on the leather at the top of the drivers seat (a specialist is going to be in touch about that)

Picked it up with 23 miles on it. I thought that was quite high as both my MG ZR and Volvo C30 had under 10 on delivery

Day 2 involved a drive down to Newcastle and back - but on the plus side I got to test the LED headlights in the Tyne Tunnel. The light bending thing they do is really noticeable in a tunnel and very very cool

Second port of call once the weather improved was a damn good clean and de-badging the bootlid

Then it was another long run down to visit K9 cages so that our 1 year old Irish Red & White setter could travel in equal comfort. I made use of the rear 12v source and bought a matching fan for him too. Does anyone know if the 12v can be made constant live?

Finally a quick picture from South Queensferry yesterday. Two huge bits of red engineering together haha

Where did you get the dog cage. That's exactly what I'm looking for

From a lovely couple in the borders that run Trans K9 - https://www.facebook.com/transk9dogtransitboxes/?fref=ts

It's the only dog cage on the market that has been independently crash tested too, a real plus point. There are a few different styles available - the double cage is a little deeper so gives a bit more floor space over all. Since he's only going to be in it occasionally the single is fine. Apparently my picture is going on the new website as they don't have many pictures of the single cage in an A6

Oh and my sister was over visiting the other day, so I washer her TT. They do look good together!

Dealer/manufacture marks seem to br cropping up a lot at the minute. Need to put in a request not to valet mine when it arrives i think. Purple rain in action on the wheels?
Does look good in red, really nice motor that... Got to love the avant black edition

two of them were bird poo marks, so I was a bit surprised to find them under the protective layer that's supposed to stop that happening!

That is indeed Purple Rain... great stuff for those who haven't tried it! Break dust just dissolves and washed off with minimum effort.

I did wonder if it was worth putting the GuardX care package up for sale on here as I'll never use 90% of it (in fact it's only ever been opened once to see what was in it)

Not a bad shout, im sure someone will buy it. Have you de-waxed it all now and stripped the gard-x off or are you taking it back?

Going to take it back, they've already agreed to fix it

Once that's done it'll be getting a full clay bar and Definitive Waxing

Fair play if they've agreed to do it. Love the first proper cleaning job on a new motor. Taking a trip up to autobrite in the next couple of weeks to get topped up on new bits myself. Treat the rims to some wheelzebub, elegance too for the paint if you've never tried them, she'll love you for it

I really love the Audi red, my previous car was solid red, but for the new car, my much better half put a kibosh on that color. Car looks really good- top effort
