Well, here you all go lol

Its an Audi forum so I'm not expecting everyone / anyone to like the car or my decision, but surely if it makes me happy who cares

After pondering a colour choice between mystery (weird name but very sepang'esque IMHO) blue metallic & nevada white metallic, today I finally made my mind up after 2 visits to my local SEAT Dealer

So paid my deposit & ordered a new mystery blue SEAT Leon Cupra 300 5 door with a manual gearbox

I've been quoted delivery in January 2018 which, if I'm being honest, doesn't concern me as I have my current car to sell prior to the Cupra's arrival
Looking to move my S4 on around October
I should have a BW mid to late September

Totally amazed at the standard spec on the Cupra's TBH -

SEAT Leon Cupra 300 2.0l TSI turbo 5 door FWD
Manual gearbox
Metallic paint
Black exterior styling pack
Black leather / alcantara sports seats
Black headlining
Piano black inlays

– Auto headlights
– Coming & Leaving home function
– Rain sensing wipers
Hill hold assist

(From January 2018 builds -

Oh & BTW I got the Cupra on a 24 month (1+23) PCH deal
24 straight payments of £249/month incl. VAT
No deposit. 8000 miles/year
Metallic paint incl FOC
http://www.seatwarrington.co.uk/newcars/details/seat/leon-hatchback/20-tsi-cupra-300-5dr/14323

The long wait begins ...

Edit : Just so there is no confusion
Prior to the Cupra I've had Audi's for the last 16 years continuously & fancied a change this time TBH

My previous Audi's were -
Audi B8.5 S4 Black Edition Saloon - Sepang Blue
( http://www.audi-sport.net/xf/threads/bhs-sepang-blue-b8-5-audi-s4-black-edition-saloon.240456/ )
Audi B8 A4 2.0 TFSI S-line quattro Saloon - Ibis White
( http://www.audi-sport.net/xf/thread...udi-a4-2-0-tfsi-quattro-s-line-saloon.225569/ )

Audi B7 A4 2.0 TDI (140) S-line Saloon - Brilliant Red
Audi B6 A4 2.0 FSI SE Saloon - Light Silver

Congrats and what a deal that is. A lot of car for very little money. Purely from a momentary point of view, this is a no brainier!

Very nice "Hound Dog" and an impressive spec for the money.... the only question mark I have is 300 bhp and front wheel drive only.
Did you test drive one with that power, especially on a wet day?

Is this just a deal related to Seat Warrington, or can anyone get it through their local Seat dealer?

Thanks for the comments everyone ! :thumbs up:

@Flying Scotsman - Thanks
When I drove one the mechanical LSD does a pretty good job of harnessing the power, but its never going to match the grip levels on the 'real' quattro on my S4
Its wasn't raining when I test drove it so can't answer your question, but I ain't to worried TBH

@SPIKE_S1 - When I went into my local Seat Dealer & got them to bring the Deal up on their computer
The only Deal on the Cupra I'm getting that they could do was £250+Vat/month
The *** of a 'Car Sales Executive' after calling me 'Matey' 1/2 a dozen times said the Warrington Dealer was making a mistake
So I grabbed a brochure and told him I was off to order one from the Warrington dealer, which I did

Try you Seat Dealer mate & get them to bring the Deal up & see what they say
It is financed by Seat (VWFS) after all

Unbelievable to think about the attitude of some of the sales executives! Although I also got the same response from a few Audi reps when I first went to buy an Audi many years ago. Thankfully that experience is totally different to what I get now - they couldn't do enough for me now.

So the deal is £250+vat, so £300.00 all in??

That's some serious motor for the money. Thanks for posting this Bris, might be just what I'm looking for! I imagine all my go faster bits from the S3 swap straight over too.

@Flying Scotsman - I don't have any plans to step down as a Mod
I'd like to think I still have a little to offer having had Audi's continuously for the last 15 years
Made some great friends too
I'll just keep my Leon Cupra thread going in the 'Other Brands & Models' section of ASN

@batch - Would be rude not to lol
Keep us posted mate
You would like to think some of the parts would move over, as the Leon Cupra not only uses the same MQB platform as the 8V A3/S3 but also the same engine as PFL S3's

I've heard of the MTM Cantronic units running on these, and as it's the same lump I imagine the DP and intake kit will all fit on, and the wheels... that Mystery Blue is lush, saw one the other day. Beaut.

Bris, do you know if there was any flexibility on spec, i.e. DSG and uprated audio?

Omg what a stinking good deal on a superb car.

Can't fault you mate that almost defies belief.

Great choice of car, colour & as you say immense spec.

No deposit & those low monthlies is amazing though.

Looo forward to delivery ... & new car prep :)

@batch - The usual thing with options when leasing is that you divide the cost of the option by the length of the leasing contract
For example. A £1200 option would cost you an extra £50/month over a 24 month lease

Best thing to do mate is give 'em a ring & see what they have to say

The Seat colour, in the flesh, is more purple'y IMHO

Sticking with the mystery (?) blue metallic after contemplating the nevada white metallic

Got an insurance quote today for the Cupra
£250/year
With £350 excess, 8000 miles/year, garaged & the good lady & I to drive

That's a really good deal you got yourself @Bristle Hound fantastic spec and lovely colour. You were just right to take your business elsewhere. We will be sorry to see you leaving the Audi club, but at least you are remaining a member of the wider family circle!

Looking forward to seeing the unwrapping and the new car detail!

Just had an email off my Sales guy -

'The information we have from SEAT is showing your car is ‘deliverable week 2’, hence the January ’18 in the last email. If it does change I will let you know, but January is what I’m working on as the month you can collect the Cupra.'

Spoke with SEAT Customer Care today & they have just quoted me -
'Unconfirmed build week of week 7, 2018, week commencing 12 February, but this date may come forward'

Apparently 'in the flesh' you can't tell them apart I'm told

The estate version's of the Cupra are all 4 wheel drive. Must be killing the Golf R estate sales me thinks

If the lease deals are like that in a year then it will be a serious contender for me.
Would be saving over £100pm over the S3 too.

Showing in the Seat Uk brochure released for November

'Driver configurable digital cockpit' & 'illuminated aluminium front door sill with CUPRA logo' are now standard equipment on Cupra's

Rumour has it that these will be fitted to cars from BW2/2018 but nothing has been confirmed yet

Just hoping my Cupra gets pushed back enough to include these lol

Brilliant offer that! After re-thinking a second PCP due to overall costs over 4 years this is really tempting! It seems to have gone up to £259 now on a 1+23 but it's still not bad. Might be haggle room I don't know!

Out of interest was choosing a different colour paint included or was it extra if you wanted it? I know the blue is standard on the cupra.

@C1j2w3f4 - On my particular PCH deal metallic paint was included in the price, hence I chose the metallic mystery blue
The 'standard' blue colour, Mediterranean blue is :puke: !

Just in case you didn't know but I rang Seat head office to find out about the virtual cockpit, as Warrington didn't know anything about it when I contacted them.

They said it will be included on all Cupras after build week 45 - does this mean you'll get it?

I think I'm about to put an order in for one as it comes with it now! Epic deal, thank you for posting about this
