@C1j2w3f4 - After BW45 for the digidash eh ? Spoke with Seat customer care yesterday & I'm still at unconfirmed BW47 /2017 So if your info is right, yes is the answer ! lol & your welcome
Could be following you on this deal @Bristle Hound , can't make the numbers work on a 4 year old S4 Avant when looking at what it would be worth after another 3 years, how much it costs me over 3 years, ploughing in a 6k deposit, and then having the struggle to sell it on and have any equity over and above the 6k. 259 for a 5 door or 279 for an estate on the Leon Cupra deal looks very good to me. It's 2 years running a brand new car, keeps my savings pot intact for emergencies and considering I commute once a week with work Mon-Thurs (to the airport and back!) it seems more sensible to go the biggest bang for your buck option - and I think this is it. Long wait on them though - quoting April currently...!!!! The red looks nice in these photos, as does the blue that you're getting: https://rmsmotoring.com/road-test/fast-practical-absolutely-gorgeous-seat/
She's always driven manual GB cars & in her words 'feels more in control' with a manual Can't really argue with her as she passed a higher standard of driving test than me when we were both working in the same job, now retired from
As my current cars PCP deal finishes the end of May next year, I've re-ordered my Cupra Sticking with mystery blue I suppose this way I'm guaranteed the digital dash & illuminated door sills too I've been quoted April/May delivery which will fit perfectly in for me TBH Got the same deal as I did for my August order too, so well pleased
So, you changing both your cars BH or is it just the Mrs’. You ordered two Cupra’s ? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
@Tashfeen - Cancelled the 1st Cupra order & re-ordered the same Cupra to get a later delivery date my friend
I need to pay attention when I read threads. I am sure I must have missed it - my bad Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
@Bristle Hound, hey, Col, if Mrs Hound has her own car, why should her preferences dictate your choice of transmission on your car?
@jdp1962 - Because we both drive each others cars regularly Jeff & a small matter of love ! As much as I like the s-tronic GB on my S4, I do find it lacking when 'making progress' TBH But that could be my driving style & how I was taught my advanced driving to be fair
@GaryP - Its @Chiefbadger & here's the thread buddy http://www.audi-sport.net/xf/threads/s4-avant-v-golf-r-estate-review.331217/#post-3064648
@GaryP @Chiefbadger - Moved all the Golf R posts to Chiefbadgers - 'S4 avant v Golf R estate - review' thread in the A4/S4 B8 section Talk about lol
Been speaking to the supplying dealer this morning, IMG Warrington Collection on Wednesday 14th March 2018 ! I've asked that the dealer doesn't prep the vehicle beyond removing all the transport film, which I was pleasantly surprised they agreed to as the Cupra is a PCH car So hopefully I will be collecting a filthy new car I'll post some pic's on collection __________________
Great news. I assume that is the M4 CP put on ice for a while then! Look forward to pic of a filthy car
Look forward to the pics I looked around for a similar deal at the same time as you got yours but no luck. Jealousy will get to me when you put those pictures up! Haha Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk
@SPIKE_S1 - SWMBO aka the dream squasher said no to the M4. I live to fight another day lol Should be well dirty as I have a 200 mile journey home after collection. Bonus of that is it should be run in by the time I get home Will post some dirty pic's on collection lol @slinemfc - Cheers Just out of interest my supplying Dealer is still doing the same car but now £269/month for 24 months http://www.seatwarrington.co.uk/newcars/details/seat/leon-hatchback/20-tsi-cupra-300-5dr/17176
2 year 'Total Loss Contract Hire Gap Insurance' purchased this afternoon from GAPInsurance123 for £82.61 https://gapinsurance123.co.uk/ Pleasantly surprised at the cost TBH
Wow, that is cheap! Talking about insurance, do you have any recommendations for warranty? The S1 is coming up to three years old and considering a warranty until we look to change it some time within the next 12 months.
@SPIKE_S1 - I was surprised myself too The policy also has a 'no upper claim limit' & a '£250 excess contribution' too I haven't had any experience of any 3rd party / aftermarket warranties TBH Have you had a quote from Audi yet ?
Yea, my local is chasing me hard at a price of £420. I haven’t haggled yet, so hope to knock it down to £350 if possible! It seems reasonable, but I’m not sure if I should shop around. You can even pay it off at 0% apr! That’s a first for Audi.
After a 250 mile round trip & fours hours driving, I collected the Cupra from IMG Warrington yesterday I asked the Dealer to the leave the car 'as is' other than to remove all the transport film, which is part of the PDI, which they did My car was filthy ! It was covered in a layer of muck with adhesive all over the place. Just like I like it It had 5 miles on the clock at collection My car came with Continental ContiSport tyres All were dated week 41 of 17 There was a guy picking up a Ibiza & he couldn't believe how I collected a brand new car lol After a 125 mile run, my first impressions £55 worth of V-Power from 2 sticks showing on the fuel gauge I already knew the Cupra had a mahoosive spec but seeing it in the 'flesh' blew me away Little things like oil temp coolant temp are already configured The interior is quite a nice place to be. Its not up to Audi standards, but it isn't an Audi ! lol Gearbox is nice & loose & the engine pulls strongly. It felt quick enough Lots of connect ability. 2 SD card slots, 2 USB's, 1 aux in & 2 USB charging only ports HHA is standard as it should be on all Audi's IMHO Cupra specific interior mats are a nice touch Haven't even started to figure out the sat nav yet lol The spec on the Cupra, in particular, makes other manufacturers standard spec cars look a bit silly TBH My car is bog standard & the only extra was the metallic paint which ws included in the PCH deal My car didn't come with the digi dash (Seats's virtual cockpit) as it was built 8 weeks early in December 2017. This was standard on all 2018 cars. But did come with the illuminated door sills which weren't supposed to be standard until the 2018 cars! I hadn't planned on the doing the 'new car detail' yet, but as today turned out I started today & got about 2/3 done There was a little marring on the bonnet which was easy enough to correct TBH A little teaser - More pic's & thought to come ...
Can’t wait to see the ‘after’ shots BH - congrats on the new motor Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
@Radford212 @BarryG79 @Tashfeen - Thanks guys @Flying Scotsman - A better pic of a cleaner wheel lol & cheers @Rob2k68 - I finished my Detail this morning Rob. Just waiting for a gap in the weather to get some pic's & thanks buddy
Nice looking alloys those! As you've found with your Cupra, Seat and VW do provide a very nice spec as standard for the price of these cars. Loving my R Estate. Yes it's not quite Audi build but it's nowhere near the price of an equivalent Audi. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
New Car Detail completed See - http://www.audi-sport.net/xf/thread...y-blue-mk3-seat-leon-cupra-300-5-door.367904/
Added a boot net today from a previous VAG car & changed the 12v socket in the centre console From the SEAT one on the left to an Audi one on the right, which has the same knurled knob (oh 'er ) as the stereo volume control on the SEAT Its the little things don't cha know Oh & put my reflective jackets in the under seat compartments on the front seats
