Hi all , this is my first post and hope to gain some advice . My A5 2.0 tdi 177 fwd Sportback is almost ready for some new front tyres and I'm after some recommendations. It's currently on Continentals but is suffering badly with tramlining on uneven roads . The dealer has recommended Michelin Pilot Sport 3 but I'd like some real world advice . I've seen good reports of Vreidestein tyres also . I'm more concerned about how they are once worn , the continental were fine when I bought the car , it's only as they've worn that it's got worse . Thanks in advance .

Steve

I have the Goodyear Eagle F1's on my car and find them very good, as do a lot of people on here, they come out well in tyre reviews too.
The Pilot Sport 3 is a good tyre but has been around a while now, bit like the Eagle F1 but there is a new one coming out shortly the Eagle F1 asy3. In all the tests the PS3 never placed 1st

The F1 asy 2 faired better.

There are plenty of choices, what ever you decide to go with tyreleader is a good place to get them from https://www.tyreleader.co.uk/

Cool , thanks for that , some interesting reading . I just want to get it right , the tramlining is ruining a nice car at the minute.

I ran 19" Vredestiens on my last 320d. They wore very well and solved the tramlining of the original Bodgestone runflats.

I'll need to replace the Pirellis in the spring so I'll be looking for a set of Vreds.
