Best oil for 195k 1.8t

Hi all, heading over to Europe on Friday and want to grab some extra oil to cover the journey. Usually use Castrol Magnatex 5w30.

As the miles are quite high, is this still the best oil to use? I’ve heard some mechanics say that thicker oil is better for higher mileage engines due to everything inside being a bit looser....

Any suggestions?

I use Mobil I 0w40 100% Synthetic Euro-Blend in my son’s Audi A4 1.8L S-line with no issues.

I have considered a slightly thinner oil in the winter and thicker in the warmer months.

I chose this oil based on price, wide range viscosity, 100% synthetic with Euro approvals for German automakers Audi, Mercedes, Porsche and VW.
