best car before your Audi?

As the title says, post up a picture of the car you liked the MOST before you got your S3/audi
I'll start off. 1998 JDM sti impreza. It was minded liked like a baby and no expense spared, from coilovers,straight through
exhaust,Apexi FC etc, even flew a mapper over from scotland to do a moving road map(genius call Andy Forest)

I still miss its 330bhp and 340nm of torque hehe

My loved and much missed Golf VR6, I loved this car, The final stage of is build was nowhere near long enough,
A combination of a dirty road and some idiot pulling out without looking in his mirror ended the cars ( and very nearly my) life,

My Corsa GSi.

Blood sweat and tears went into this over five/six years. Only bought the S3 as I wanted something more grown up to use as a daily drive.

Couple of months before it was about to get the 2L pulled out for a turbo motor it got towed off the drive and never seen again.

My precious, beautiful, perfect 205 GTI

I've had 40+ cars in 4 years, but this was the only one I never wanted to sell. Given the choice I'd swap it back for my A3 in a heartbeat with no questions asked.

Iv not got an s3 but heres my best car pre a3 1.8t, 18years old when i owned this 1.4 105+ atomix, i thought i was the nads sounded quite nice with the big foam pipercross i had on it for a 1.4 :thumbs

My previous steed, got rid last May.
Dreamscience remap to 275bhp, and a nice 5 pot growl through a Magnex resonated cat back.
If money were no object I would still have it (18-22mpg).

Sold my Impreza RA to buy the S3,worse thing I ever did to be honest, OK so I don't have to use ear defenders and I have leather seats but it's just soooo boring.

Impreza had launch control, antilag, adj centre diff, Andy Forrest mapped, huge brakes and lots of other nice bits.

My 2008 Honda S2000 GT

I really miss this car, but it broke my heart keeping it in tip top condition whilst being my daily driver. I'll def get another one. I like my S3 but it's just a machine. The S2000 definately had a soul

i haven't really had a decent car before my A3 1.8t.. only owned 3 cars so far including this

before the audi i had a Escort 1.8 gti - removed egr valve. 2ltr throttle bodie & maf sensor, pipercross cone filter, black diamond race clutch, Omex clubman rev limiter with launch control. 4-2-1 manifold with straight pipe to a magnex backbox, lowered 35mm on pi suspension, leather seats, OMP corsica deep dish steering wheel & sparco harness's for when the back seats were out.

& before that i had a black chavvy saxo VTR - 4-2-1 manifold, powerflow straight through, Gaz fully adjustable suspension & a few other bits

These are my 2 previous cars, equally my favourite.

A 110 gttdi golf, chipped, lowered with eibach dampers and springs and rolling on tt comps. Was a nice car for my age, great on fuel and admired by many as it was proper clean. The only time it let me down was when the engine try escaping because some pillock didn't correctly tighten up the upper engine mount bolts and they sheered in the block. The car went to my brother, then a mate bought it and still has it!

I then downgraded to the gti6 to free up a bit of money, but this turned out to be a wicked car, bought it with already sorted suspension, and it really was well sorted, the closest thing to a go kart iv even owned. Wasn't bad on fuel either. Kept it for a year and sold it to buy a van

I have 2 cars I really miss,

My intoduction to turbo'd 4wd cars, My 1988 mazda 323 4x4, White car with white comopmotive MO's, mmmmmmmmm, sadly no pic's though,

Secondly, the last (proper) mini I owned, bought new in 2000, sold it in 2010, 80bhp and made me smile every time I drove it.
