Battery removal *** Urgent help please

How do you remove the battery, ive been f**king around trying to remove the hex clamp on the engine side of battery ,ive unclipped the side support but I cannot get a poxy allen key or allen socket on it, im f**king fuming , there must be an easier way or am I missing the point ,

1/4 drive socket set 5 or 6 mm hex bit it's a tight fit but possible or remove the brace think its 2 17 mm bolts either end ! Good luck

socket exstention is needed nice a thin one undo the brace on pass side should give u enough room to bump battery out this way

Moved brace and managed to get extension bar on , job done, uprated battery to a 800 ccA and 85Ah (3.0tdi spec) fron 480 ccA and 62Ah what a massive difference when car turns over on start up!!!!
