Hi everybody! I have an issue with my Audi S3, 8P 2008 year's model that keeps draining the battery overnight so that the car doesn't start without a jump start. I've narrowed it down to fuse 19 in the engine bay compartment that is the issue. When the fuse is in and I check the drainage it's at 1 Amp and when car is looked and the red hazard light is turning on and off ever 60 seconds. My car is equiped with BOSE speakers and a BOSE subwoofer in the rear that's behind a cloth panel. When the fuse is removed the car drais like 0.2 Amp which is much better than 1 Amp. I've tried another used stereo, Audi Concert with same article number as the one that's in my car but the used stereo didn't help(some have mentioned issues with the concert stereos) so it's most likely not the concert stereo that causes the battery drain. Another thing that I just noticed today is when I open the trunk and lock it manually at the latch and lock the car with central locking I can hear a clicking sound in the location where the amplifier is. The clicking sound is heard whenever the hazard warning light turns on and off when car is locked. Almost like a relay clicking sound. Do you know perhaps if the amplifier might be at fault internally or is the amplifier turning on and off due to another issue causing the battery drain? Best regards, Christian
I don't think this is radio related, I think this is a red herring. I have pm you. Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk
Well worth getting @NHN to look at it as it could be a multitude off things and he does know his Sh*t
Thanks for the replies, fuse 19 is for the radio. Do you happen to have a wiring diagram for the sound/audio system?
Equipment I have in the car as extra is the armrest with a telephone holder in it and a cd-changer in the glovebox if that could be to any help. I also forgot to mention when I created this thread that I have always had a fault code saying something like "Telehpone module no communcation". I have the steering wheel with multifunctioning buttons.
