Battery charging

Due to lack of use over several months the vehicle battery could do with a good charge, unfortunately where I have to park it I’m unable to connect a battery charger. Is it ok to remove the battery to charge indoors what with the alarm and all?

To be honest I’ve just remembered, I disconnected the battery for approximately 24hr when I retrofitted cruise control few years ago and it was fine then.
