Bang & Olufsen narrow stereo image

Hi, I'm a new driver of an Audi A3 Sportback with B&O sound system - I think the audio sounds great, but it is very centered on the point selected in the speaker setup part of the MMI system. Its to the point where I think it sounds like mono audio. I like to hear stereo like its spread out, not emanating from a single point.

Any ideas?

Just play around with the speaker settings until you get the sound that suits you, I haven't played about with mine for a while but if I remember correctly you need to do it for each different sound source, I spent ages setting it up when connected to my phone then had to do it again for my iPod.

Yeah the sound settings are specific to the source you are using. So you'll need to configure it for radio, SD, CD, iPod, Bluetooth etc.

Switching between front / all / rear focus makes the biggest difference to the sound stage. Front is my default setting, gives the most focussed sound for the driver if driving without passengers.

This may help. Lots of people posted their sound settings.

But yeah, it's your personal preference. I was disappointed with Audi Sound System - it's still nothing that blows me away but it's damn good and a lot better than the standard system i heard in a courtesy car!!
