Just had a technician at work fit mine for me, and he comes back and says he had to disconnect the coolant pipe to get it all in properly, he's obviously fitted it all back together and for my brief drive down the road the car drives fine, but is this normal or should I be checking for anything he may have done wrong? just fitted mine and finished 10 minutes ago never had to remove any coolant pipes only pipes that go in to the new pipe.

little grub screws were tight to get to but once they were in all went a lot easier

i would just check around everything is tight and no leaks but your mechanic should have done all that for you

He did'nt need to disconnect any coolant pipe. No idea why he thought he needed to do this.. At best a slight tweak on it is all that would ever be req'd.

oh okay, well everything is working fine and no issues except he also tightened the clip too tight on the jetex flange and so it has ripped slightly. any ideas on a decent fix besides ductape? I've heard some people have made a custom extension bracket out of slilicone hosepipe and some grip clips..?? thanks

not much you can do if he's tightened the clip so tight as to bite into the rubber.. no need of dong that
