B9 Passenger Wing mirror no heat B11F8 14 [009] - Open or Short to Ground

Morning All

As I said before i have a few faults on the go. This one is for the heated pass wing mirror.

196630 - Heated Exterior Mirror
B11F8 14 [009] - Open or Short to Ground
Confirmed - Tested Since Memory Clear

As you can see this has been going on for a while, today I turned the mirror switch to heat, drivers heated, passengers didn't. I removed the glass (take care) and found the elec connectors to be very corroded, I cleaned them up and tested the power to them and it was there, testing the old mirror glass gave no resistance. I fitted a new mirror and tested. This time it heated up. Hope this helps.

I've recently purchsed my A4 and both my wing mirrors didn't work, mechanic checked out the connections and they were fine so he's ordered two new heated mirrors which he will fit next week. Getting it covered under warranty by indy garage i purchased it from, glad i tried to use them while it was frosty and not in the summer!

Very useful for those who have the issue OP nice one.
