B8.5 engines

Hi all,

I've got late 2015 (Dec) B8.5 2.0 TDI and it's got the 150ps (148bhp) engine in it. When did they update this from the 143PS 2.0 TDI?

Only asking as Revo list this engine under the B9.

Hi,

I had mine remapped by revo recently. Mine is a late 2012 b8.5 which was running the tdi-e map (detuned 177 down to 163bhp).

When I took the car in they read the engine code from your default map and it will either match one they have or they can send the map they read from your car to hq and tweak one for you - or at least that’s what they told me. It shouldn’t matter so much the original bhp you have, more the engine code (I believe).

Mine has settled in nicely - went up to circa 200-210bhp. Much much smoother through the Rev range and definitely a good extra slug mid range. Took a few days to fully appreciate.
