Hi there, I just picked up my "new" motor and unsurprisingly it's VERY different from my S3 (8P). Being the SE and Avant model, this car is like a super fast barge, it's heavy and seems to lean a fair bit going into corners. It's done 160k, so I don't know what that means for suspension component wear, but didn't see any note in the service history of any replacements.

I'd love to drop the ride height to that of the S-Line, or maybe a little lower - is it a bad idea just use lowering springs on this car? - would something else improve the handling and the looks?

Thoughts/suggestions?

Morning,

Personally with that mileage I'd change the shocks and springs.

Bigger ARBs would also make a difference but it depends how much you want to spend really?

I don't want to spend much TBH, baby and new house are high on my priority list right now!

I don't expect the handling to be as sharp as an RS4 or anything :) but I'd like it to ride lower, stiffer and have a bit more 'feel' than the 'sponge' it has at the moment!
