Hello Gents. This ones more of a "can I without too much ballache" than a "Can I", because obviously (what with the previous conversions) it can be done. Would it be the same as the other V8 into a B5 conversions I have read about? I ask this because I am planning on putting one from a B6 S4 in. I've just sold some shares and its freed up a bit of money. I was going to get rid of the 2.8 and buy a B5 RS4, but I think this would be more interesting and fun. So, what would be involved, what do I need for it (Obviously the donor engine!doh!) and how well/badly would the B5 chassis cope with it? I havn't got the time to do it myself now as work commitments have surpassed my free time, so the actual swap would be done by either someone on here or a good garage, but I would like to have all the parts ready so it would be a matter of 1) Take old engine out 2) Put everything in place mounts etc for the V8 to go in and 3) drop in the V8.
I can't see any reason why the transition shouldn't be as smooth as that if everything is good to go and the chassis is primed. Any expertese/knowledge/advice/know how on this would be tremendousely appreciated.
Many Thanks in advance.........
Ollie
