Jey check your page again. Revo are saying the engine is capable of 275 , but not with just a map.

revo do not mention hardwear at all in that statement but constantly refer to software....

ill email them again and ask what bhp can they get outa the 200bhp 2.0t fsi from map alone... i coulda swore before revo changed there site they offered a dtm map to 275bhp..

Get the right engine when you ask. The A4 B7 engine is different to the A3 engine and the A4 B8 engine is different again. PLus the New A3 TSI engine is different again....

However the hardware in the DTM/SE vs std B7 2.0T is identical.

ive put in barckets the suspension upgrade and the brakes upgrade that i was told this model didnt have..! ill find the chassis info to but of course auron will say this is also wrong....yes sline springs but dif setup...

Racing Inspired Audi A4 DTM Special Edition Receives More Power


A new road-going A4 sports Saloon developed by the Audi division responsible for the RS 4 and RS 6 quattros is to commemorate a landslide championship victory for Audi in the 2004 German Touring Car Masters (DTM).

Paying homage to the 460 bhp A4 DTM race car, with which Audi decisively won the driver, team and manufacturer trophies in the 2004 German Touring Car Masters (DTM), the A4 DTM Edition further emphasizes the sporting character of the A4 2.0 T FSI quattro Saloon on which it is based.

Audi high performance specialist division quattro GmbH modifies the directly fuel injected four-cylinder, 2.0-litre turbo FSI petrol engine, raising power from 200 bhp to 220 bhp and torque from 207 lb-ft to 221 lb-ft. This is reflected in the performance data, the A4 DTM capable of accelerating from rest to 62 mph in 7.1 seconds and of reaching a top speed of 155 mph where conditions allow.

Visually, the touring car's influence can be seen in the new 18-inch, 15-spoke alloy wheels, (((((which are combined with lowered sports suspension with spring and damper settings unique to this version)))) Flanking the single frame front grille is a redesigned front bumper with additional air intakes and a black carbon fiber chin spoiler derived from motor sport. For maximum impact, the door mirrors can also be finished in contrasting Phantom Black at no extra cost.

Unique sill strips inlaid with the DTM logo enhance the A4 in profile, and at the rear, larger diameter 4 inch exhaust tailpipes signal intent from within a new look bumper incorporating extra air intakes and a racing-inspired diffuser.

Inside, embossed sill strips and silver-piped floor mats help to single out the Audi A4 DTM Edition, as do Recaro sports seats with silver side stitching upholstered in a special Nardia microfibre fabric with leather side sections. Leather and Nardia microfibre also covers the 3-spoke sports steering wheel, and Nardia is used for the handbrake lever and gear knob. Carbon fibre inlays from the Audi S4 add a striking finishing touch to the instrument panel and door trims.

Thanks to the combination of quattro permanent four-wheel-drive, S line sports suspension and ((((((powerful ventilated cross-drilled disc brakes upgraded exclusively for this version))))), the A4 DTM Edition can live up to the expectations instilled by its styling.

The 2004 DTM season was a resounding success for Audi. In its first year of participation with a works team, the brand scooped all three titles with a new car in one fell swoop. Mattias Ekstrom won the drivers' trophy in the A4, the Abt Team triumphed in the team trophy and Audi secured the manufacturers' trophy.

i not being silly now mate but nowhere does it say the brakes i.e calipers are different at all its just saying it has cross drilled disks which doesnt mean it has different brakes just disks mate to have uprated brakes you have to have uprated calipers not just disks. the suspension just means it a bit tighter and lower to the normal A4 thats all mate, i no way is the chassis different to any other 2.0T. Plus yours is the SE and i thought the DTM was a seperate one altogether as darren(drmole) was at ADI parked next to me with his SE 2.0t black edition and it looked nothing like the DTM A4's out there. i just hope you are not just relaying what the dumbass salesman was telling you to try and make you buy the car. im not having a go mate as its not me to do that but i do think you have been given a few bits of miss information on your car.

A4 DTM is exactly the same as Special edition.
The difference is only in looks.
SE comes with two tone leather interior, DTM comes with half leather/half alcantara interior.
Both have the same engine as S-line BUT mapped by Audi to 220bhp.
That's why you get the same power from remapped DTM and normal 2.0T.
Audi brochure says that both DTM and SE have upgraded Sline suspension but no one really can find the difference.
SE had optional quattro, DTM had it as standard.

ano what ur sayin twiggy but there still slightly upgraded compared to standard sline.. standard sline suspension is very soft as i had a 2009 a4 sline for two wks and the brakes didnt bite anywhere near as hard, after the two wks i was bk in my own car and the dif was noticed straight away..

the standard 2.0T quattro sline is 30kgs lighter than the 2.0T quattro sline SE and my bet would be the re enforced chassis that the audi master tech pointed out to me..

ano what ur sayin twiggy but there still slightly upgraded compared to standard sline.. standard sline suspension is very soft as i had a 2009 a4 sline for two wks and the brakes didnt bite anywhere near as hard, after the two wks i was bk in my own car and the dif was noticed straight away..

mate likie i said the reason the brakes seemed to be uprated is that it has uprated disks not calipers, all it takes is someone to change them to normal disks and pads and it will be the exact same braking setup of the normal 2.0T. as for the suspension dude then obviously it is different as the shocks and springs were sportier but as for a different suspension i.e upper and lower arms, uprights will be the same as the normal 2.0T so when the audi master tech told you this then he was more than likely pulling your plonker mate, just cuz they work for Audi doesnt mean they KNOW Audi's mate, how many stories have you seen about the dealers shafting people so take anything someone says from audi with a pinch of salt mate and get second opinions from reputable people who actually know about these cars. unless you have actual proof i.e pics of work you have done on the cars like i have with the B5's then thats the only way you are going to find out about these cars. ill talk to my mate drmole who has the black edition SE 2.0T as he has plans with his so should be interesting to see if he gets the gains from his engine

p.s the extra weight in the SE is probably down to interior(leather sports seats with motors) bigger wheels, sat nav's etc, that is why its probably 30kgs heavier not due to a bogus chassis upgrade mate, my leather alacantra Recaro's in my S4 are around 15-20 kg heavier than normal seats alone so you can see how this extra weight can add up with luxurys

Just to add, Audi techs at dealers don't even work for Audi. They work for a company who has bought the right (ie franchise) to trade under the name of Audi. For example Audi York is actually JCT600. Audi Harrogate is Synter. The only Audi techs in the UK who work for Audi are acutally the tech staff at Audi UK it's self.

God the amount of miss information in this thread is unbelieveable.
