B6 1.9 Tdi coolant leak, any ideas?

Gent's can I pick your brains on this one please.

My B6 has been loosing coolant the last few week and I've been topping it up for it to empty the expansion tank onto my drive.

It appeared to be leaking from the N/S rear of the engine, however I have had the car up in the air today, taken the under trays off to be greeted with a leak from the front of the engine.

It's dripping from the bottom pulley area onto the top of the front engine mount. That has then rolled down both under trays onto the ground. Hence why it appeared to be to the rear of the engine.

I'm thinking water pump, that's all it could be no? Or is there anything else?

Any help would be appreciated.

Also, when I took the under tray off this little bu66er fell out.

I've looked all over the engine bay for where it came from, any ideas???

Leaking water pump.
The Denso part is off the AC compressor.

Cheers mate. Yeah that's what I thought.

Your right about the AC part, it was off the compressor pulley. Popped it back on N's replaced the bolt.

So a new WP is needed, great.

Obviously you should replace the Cambelt & tensioner at the same time.

Yes mate, changed the pump, belt and tensioner.
