I've always been a German car fan all my life growing up with a mom and uncles running a garage that specialised in Beetles I had to.

No surprise my first car was a 1972 Beetle. Since then I've had a Mk1 Polo, Mk5 Golf and a few others.

After my my mom brought an A3 I liked it that much I wanted one. So I brought a A3 sport back sline 170 tdi Quattro and loved it.

I've modded all my cars so the A3 got a makeover including air ride, S5 interior, RS6 steering wheel to name a few mods. It ended up looking like this.

That was at the meguires BBQ.

I sold the A3 about four years ago as I had a company car and it wasn't getting used.

But after four years of nothing to mod I've got the itch again.

So I went out and brought a weekend weapon a 2006 S4 with 72k on the clock. It's ok specked the only thing I'd like it doesn't have is the satnav but I can add that.

This is how she stood when I brought her.

I had it detailed by a mate.

Then the first mod arrived a Leon cupra front lip.

Followed this up with led plate lights and S4 door pool lights.

But it needed wheels. I wanted to keep it oem so been looking out for some Audi rims. Took a while and got let down by one seller but finally got a set of one I was after. There from a Audi A8 final edition and the spec is 20"x8.5" et45. Managed to get a set of five.

I trial fitted them today before they go off for a refurb. The fronts fit bang on the rears I'll run 10mm spacers and I'm going to lower the car on springs.

two have numerous hair line cracks near the centre of the rims, refurbers are not willing to touch them either , so that's another set of alloys I have wasted good money on, that is the problem buying used alloys, as soon as they are stripped back any defects or cracks etc are not that easy to see...moreso with 19" rims and over.

Yeah I know what you mean I gave these a good check plus there's five. Hopefully no issues when they go for refurb.

Well had a bit of a spending spree. Here’s a list of the mods to be fitted in the new year.

Lowering springs
Rs4 pedal
Audi R8 v10 carbon and leather steering wheel
R8 coolant and oil caps
Quattro grill badge
S4 mats

Also looking for an rs4 gear knob and a rnse

Well I’ve finally done some work in the S4.

I couldn’t get the R8 steering wheel to fit without rewiring the airbag which I didn’t want to do. So sold it and had one made to fit my existing airbag.

Also fitted an RS4 gear knob and pedals.

Fitted led interior lights and s4 front and Audi led puddle lights which cast the writing and everyone thinks are cool when they open the doors at night lol.

My 20”x8.5” Audi A8 wheels are away with Dav at Pureklas working his magic on them.

Also lowered the car on H&R springs ready for the new rims. While doing the springs I also replaced the strut mounts.

There away being refurbished at the moment I’ve a set of five and there all in good condition one had a bit of kerbing but will use that one as a spare. Hopefully be back in the next week or so the tyres are sitting in my garage ready.

Yeah I’m questioning if they will fit ok I don’t think 9” would fit. If they don’t fit I’ll sell them and get some 19”

Well they fit Rob running on the lowering springs with a 10mm spacer on the rear. No rubbing fit perfect.

Now they look brilliant chap, top stuff , a total transformation.
I'm selling my 19" ones now for something else but love those chap....i'd still go with them if a set came up with the right size rubber but I have 19" rubber that's almost new and really need to find something else 19" that clears my Brembo's without spacers.

I'm going this route now, they are the only rims I can find in the right offset , diameter and width that will fit my old bus and look ok, not as nice as yours chap but that's life....
