Avus Silver with Anthracite Wheels & Mirrors?

Ladies and Gentlemen: Just looking for some second opinions on wheel colours before i spend all my money. I'm pretty much decided but it doesn't hurt to ask...

I'm getting very close to ordering the 19" Sportecs i've been after for a while now and I've been undecided between anthracite and straight silver.
As 19's are going to look quite large i'm thinking anthracite wheels will knock it back a bit not to mention looking quite classy with the Avus silver paint.
Anyone agree or would you go with standard silver?

Secondly, if i go for anthracite i'm considering picking up some mirror covers and getting them sprayed anthracite to match, so probably dolphin grey or similar. Step too far or a nice mod?

I know some of you guys have made some very nice changes to your motors so your input would be appreciated!

I think anthracite wheels would look good. If you want, I could do a photoshop for you if you post a pic of the wheel and a pic of your car with the wheels at a similar angle to the new wheels (if you know what I mean!).

I think they would look cool anthracite but I have a thing for dark wheels at the moment, some good photoshop skills required

edddit - just looked at them on tt shp website - cool as **** in anthracite.

I would actually look to get the rim diamond cut like these Porsche Carrera wheels. I think it looks awesome against the anthracite colour spokes....

If you wouldn't mind doing that, it'd be massively appreciated! Part of my problem in choosing is that i've never seen sportecs on an A3 in the flesh.

Anyway here are similar photos of an R32 with some 19" sportecs and a photo of my car taken at a similar angle... Do your worst! lol

How about some photos of you car so we can work our photoshop magic. I think Anthracite alloys looks amazing on dark coloured cars and white cars for a strong sense of contrast. I dont know whether it will look as good on a silver car tbh but I ll reserve that judgement until I see some pictures.

Good for a 5 minute job! There's no doubt the sportecs look amazing on any Audi (do a google image searchto see that), it's just a case of playing it safe and going silver or go a bit different and try anthracite.....

or go crazy and have the front 2 silver and rear 2 anthracite! You'll be the talk of the town.

On a serious note I would probably play it safe like you said and stick to silver, it looks fantastic on that R32

IMO the Anthracite will go better with the Silver Car as it has more contrast. Also I agree with your comment on the 19s being a bit too big and the colour can dial it back a bit.

Really like the Sportecs!!

Thanks very much for the input fellas. The car looks very blue in those photos but most of the time it can look a titanium silver colour due to it being pearlescent.
If i do go anthracite on the wheels i'm going to go for the grey mirrors too. I'm a big fan of tieing the mirror colour in with the wheels. I think it completes the car e.g. white S3 with black mirrors and wheels looks stunning.
Another wheel option i've looked at are the MTM Bimoto's (manufactured by BBS for MTM) but i've heard a few negative reviews and apparently they're HEAVY.
Anyway, i'm going to try and see some in the flesh and hold them against the car in daylight, it's the only way to be sure!

By the way... If anyone has any other suggestions for wheel designs i might have over-looked feel free to tell me!

I think I'd go for silver wheels and brushed silver S3 wing mirrors. Would look classy and understated against the silver paintwork IMO. I think you're leaning the other way though. Both look good.

I think these would look great with the colour, they are Victor Equipment Le Mans, made for Porsche fit so would need adaptors but not too much of a hassle! They are a 'silver' centre with polished lip, reckon the colour picks out the paint on your car eally well

Theres only one set of wheels I would consider replacing my S-line wheels with and thats BBS CH Black Editions.
