AVS or inspection service ?

Hi,

Can anyone tell me what the difference is between the 2 please ?

I think the AVS is with longer service intervals (>20k miles) and long life oil ?
Inspection service is annually carried out with standard audi spec oil ?

is this correct ?

also after having an AVS service what should the service indicator show
I understand it should adjust according to driving style but would you expect to see it increase/decrease after 700 miles on from the reset ???

The indicator takes a while (good few 1000) before diplaying a "true" next service indication.

AVS circa 20K about right, mine 18K and I do that yearly .... the inspections should be doe yearly as a check, if a AVS isnt due.
