Hi,
I wonder if anyone can help. Firstly, I've not owned an automatic car before and when I come to a stop the car jolts slightly forward, is this is normal?
What I am really concerned about is that I had a bad diesel leak from the fuel rail on the left side of my 2006 3.0 tdi v6 a4 cab Quattro and my automatic tiptronic gearbox has slipped and completely lost drive 3 times in the last week, could this possibly be related?
The gearbox also makes a vibrating noise sometimes in 2nd or 3rd - the same noise as it does before total loss of drive.
My transmission is the tiptronic box one not the multitronic.
This car was bought as a non runner, I've sorted loads of issues and only just got it out of limp mode. The car has loads of torque now but I don't know if the gearbox fault was there previously or whether I've caused it?
Should I carry one driving it?
If anyone know about this issue and can give me some advice on what to do, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
