Auto lights install fault

so, I’ve eventually got my headlight switch to finally finish the auto wipers/lights retrofit.

Switch is 8v0941531AD

this is replacing a 8v0941531H

I seem to have run into a problem. After installing switch I’m getting a headlamp error on the dash. Is there some VCDS coding needed to install it? Or does the BCM code it in automatically? I’ve coded auto lights in with the settings found around here and rosstech.

Any help is appreciated.

Ps: the switch works, turns lights on/off etc.
