Auto Finesse

I’ve done 3 of my cars with great results. Very easy to apply and does the job. Only thing I would say and a guy on Facebook had the same issue. A few months ago my car was caked in bird . I left it a few days and then cleaned it but on the edge of the door I had a tiny bit of etching on the top of the door. So for a coating it’s not the strongest but for what you’re paying it’s very good. This year after applying it the following week I used TJ spray on ceramic coating for more beading and extra protection http://www.tjscarcare.co.uk/shop?page=2

I see Halfords have got them on special offer, they are selling the complete protection kit for £80 which includes the paintwork, glass, wheels and interior. I think that's a cracking price for everything so I've reserved one to collect tonight. Raiden,I see you have done 3 cars, did you have to buy 3 of the paintwork kits?

Yeah about a month ago I reserved one at Halfords like you say. Talking to the guy he said if I bought more I could get them cheaper. So he cancelled the order and on the spot I had 3 paint protection, 2 interior and 1 wheel kit all less than half price so worth asking when you turn up. All great stuff but seems Halfords can’t shift it

I'd imagine that it's too expensive for the average Halford's customer who is looking for something to make their car shiny. For those more into detailing they will be aware of a wider choice of products and probably will buy online from a specialist retailer

I've never used ang Auto Finesse products so can't say either way if they're any good. What I do see on the specialist detailing forums Addicts, Central etc is a general disdain for AF products and accusations of expensive marketing, packaging and that much better products are available at less cost. I'm sure the vast majority of their products are OK but brand snobbery is alive and kicking in the detailing world, some swear by them, others wouldn't touch them. Many part time and pro detailers also wouldn't be seen going in Halfords either and will only buy through their favourite specialist detailing supplies shop, either online or over the counter.
Personally I use products from a wide range of manufacturers/suppliers including Sonax, KKD, Wax Planet, Bilt Hamber, ValetPro, Poor Boys, Autoglym, AutoGlanz, Koch Chemie etc etc. I've not come across anything which doesn't do the job it's meant to.
