Auto dimming rear view mirror MY 16

Those with MY16 S3's, does the anti glare coating run to the edge of the rear view mirror or does it have a 1/4 inch gap around the outside

On our R it went all the way to the edge but on our S3 there is a gap around the edge.

I'm 2015 so can't help but just for clarity is this the interior mirror or exterior door mirror ?

Interior mirror. Another MY16 found the same on ozaudi so looks like it works as designed

My MY16 has the gap at the end.

This is a very cheap retrograde step from Audi.

The 8P dimmed both door mirrors, and no band around the interior mirror (pre MY16 8V interior mirrors also don't have the band).

With the 8V, only the driver door mirror is available with a dimming option, which is extremely annoying in a RHD car, overtaking long lines of foriegn trucks on a UK dual carriageway at night.

And yes, the door mirror also has a band around the edge that doesn't dim. Major annoyance.

Agree although both the demos were 15's and I know one was the same as ours
