Just wondering what's involved in fitting one of these to replace the standard one. Is it a simple straight swap or is there more involved?

Requires rear view to be autodimming & wiring installed in each door through into the car, it's not pnp.

I can supply/fit if required.

If you're not bothered about the door mirrors dimming (i.e. just the internal mirror) then it is a straight swap as long as you have auto lights/wipers. Just swapped mine this morning and was a 5 minute job. Also the mirror from a similar aged A4 fits too. Have a read of this for more details:

You sure it is a straight swap? As far as i know you need to run extra wiring for the dimming part.

It's nearer to £350 or more now.

Although my supplier does me a good deal.

If you've got auto lights / wipers then it's a straight swap if you're happy with just the internal mirror dimming and not the door ones.

I've swapped my A5 one this week and it took 5 mins following the link above. The mirror I bought off eBay was off an A4 so as long as the same age they are interchangeable

When you do an autoscan, do you see your dimming mirror in module 09 sub systems?

When retrofitted correctly it should be visible as sub system in 09.
