Audi Single Din Concert Problem

This is the same as my radio:


I will be driving and all of a sudden the sound will go off and make a quiet crackly noise, i try to change the radio stations and it makes no difference. The power doesnt turn off just the sound. After around 30 seconds the sound will start to come back getting louder and louder until reaching the volume level it was last set at.

Can anyone help me solve this?

I was thinking it may be a loose wire or something on the back so ive bought some cd keys off ebay to have a look, just waiting for them to arrive.

wiring and a quick check on vagcom would give us an incline havent heard the problem before
