Morning all!

Has anyone had or known of anyone having Stage 1 put on the new 300ps S3?

If so, was wondering what Company done it.. & the output after the map..

Thanks

I contacted APR and they have nothing for the WLTP cars. I don't think we will get anything for a while.

Have you heard of a JB4? Have a look into them I’m in the process of doing some research myself as I’m not keen on getting an ecu map and what’s been thrown my way is this jb4 they come in 2 different version at 2 different prices,
A bluetooth version and non Bluetooth version (standard)
From what I’ve read about them they can infact put a stage 1-3 map on your car (obviously have to upgrade car parts I.e turbo brakes intercooler etc for bigger maps) you can do code reading/writing with these things So you can code your exhaust flaps etc too, it has safety barriers too if anything goes wrong or it detects anything goes wrong it will tweak/disable that feature etc, all in all I would say this or another tuning chip/box is what your going to need! Just type jb4 audi s3 into your search engine I highly doubt you will be disappointed after reading what these little boxes can do! Please keep me updated if you decide on one of these i think this is what I am going for with a nice induction kit to go with it!

Forgive me for being stupid, as I’m not to clued up.

But how are DTUK able to produce a product that works with the new 300ps with a GPF, yet big names in the tuning game aren’t able to, as such.

Because it is a tuning box that plugs into 3 sensors, cam, exhaust and one other (can’t recall off top of my head) and adjusts accordingly so Ecu not touched.

Have a read on their site or others like JB4

Yea I have heard of JB4.

Just a bit reluctant to use a ‘plug&play’ device as such on it, as it’s a bit of ‘diy’ in my eyes.
Where would I stand if it messed things up?
I personally would want the pros to Stage 1 it.
I’ll have a read, thanks for your input :)

They all have risks. If your engine or gearbox goes bang there’s no warranty to cover it. A bad remap can break your car. Nature of modifying.
Mtm and abt have warranties you can buy on top of the chip but not sure if they make one yet for the wltp cars.

I’d rather use a plug and play than map my car to start with if I’m being totally honest, you can just unplug it and go back to factory wenever you please, that’s just me though mate.
Keep us updated what you decide to do?

Agree on that, I personally would only go map post warranty period.

Don’t knock tuning boxes till you have tried them. My 2.0TFSI has gone from 252bhp to around 300, with a decent increase in torque. A very very different drive when box is off the car
